Meta's WhatsApp charges (separate from Orbit)

Don't mix these up: besides your Orbit subscription, Meta charges for WhatsApp Cloud API usage. That charge is directly between Meta and your business account; Orbit doesn't broker, pass through, or profit from it.

How Meta charges today

Since July 2025, billing is per message — no longer per conversation. In practice:

• Inside the 24-hour window (when the customer wrote first): free-form text messages are free, with no monthly cap;
• Outside the window: only an approved template can be sent, and each delivered template is charged. A broadcast to 500 contacts creates 500 charges;
• The amount varies by recipient country and by template category (utility, marketing, authentication).

Always check the official, up-to-date rates on Meta's pricing page — the table belongs to Meta and changes periodically, which is why Orbit does not display currency estimates.

Instagram and Messenger have no per-message charge — only WhatsApp.
